Why “Unleash Greatness”

Benedictine College’s strategic vision is to Transform Culture in America through community, faith, and scholarship.  To “Unleash Greatness” means to put a high degree of effort in each aspect of the mission — to “go for it” in community, faith, and scholarship.

Unleash Greatness in community means to put a high degree of effort on the field and in positive relationships. It means we are committed to competing at the highest levels on the field, competing for Heart Championships, earning all-conference honors, representing Benedictine College in NAIA National Championships, and earning NAIA All-American honors. Creating life-long bonds with teammates and classmates.

Unleash Greatness in faith means our student-athletes will grow in their faith and make it their own, through prayer, study, and service. Raven Athletics is committed to giving student-athletes opportunities to receive the sacraments, and serve, including teams volunteering at Masses, creating team Bible studies, and leading mission and service projects.

Unleash Greatness in scholarship means that we continue to push ourselves in the classroom, giving athletes opportunities to study at home and away. Our goal is to finish the academic year with a 3.0 or higher GPA, have representation on the Heart Scholar Athlete Team, Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete Team, and NAIA Scholar Teams.
