
Athletic Department earns best-ever finish in Learfield Directors' Cup Standings at 23
CLEVELAND – Benedictine College Athletics experienced another competitive year, and the final 2025 NAIA Learfield Directors' Cup Standings reflects that.
Raven Athletics finished in 23rd overall with 490.5 points after the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NAIA) released the final standings after the conclusion of the Spring season. The top 25 finish in the Directors' Cup Standings marks Benedictine's highest ever finish, surpassing the previous high of 30th after the 2015-16 academic year.
"I want to congratulate all of our student-athletes, coaches, and support staff on another outstanding competitive season across the three seasons," said Benedictine Athletic Director Charlie Gartenmayer. "A top 25 finish is a remarkable achievement for our department,t and we're excited to continue to improve on that finish in the years to come."
Benedictine scored 187 points in three sports – 100 in Women's Lacrosse, 39 in Women's Outdoor Track & Field, and 28 in Men's Outdoor Track & Field. The Ravens scored a total of 183 points in the Fall and 140.5 points in the Winter.
Earlier this week, the Ravens learned of their third-place finish in the 2025 Heart Commissioners Cup Standings. They are the second-highest ranked member of the Heart in the final standings behind Grand View University, which placed 13th with a score of 673.5 points. Three schools finished inside the top 25 this year, with Central Methodist University behind Benedictine at No. 24 with 487.5 points.
The three Heart members ranked in the top 25 were the second-most of any NAIA conference behind the Sun Conference with four.
