Dooley and Balke named Heart Players of the Week
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Benedictine Football earned two Heart of America Athletic Conference weekly honors on Monday.
Quarterback Jackson Dooley was named the Heart Football Offensive Player of the Week, and kicker Harry Balke was named the Heart Football Special Teams Player of the Week, presented by Musco, for their efforts in Benedictine's 45-14 win over St. Ambrose University on Saturday.
Dooley paced the dominant Benedictine offense, throwing for 451 yards and 5 touchdowns. The Ravens passing attack set the tone early as Dooley connected with JaShawn Todd for a 75-yard touchdown on the game's first offensive play.
Balke was perfect on Saturday, converting all six extra point tries and making a 35-yard field goal.
Benedictine returns home on Saturday, hosting NAIA-ranked Baker University at 1 p.m. inside Larry Wilcox Stadium.
