Men's Basketball dropped a home conference game Saturday afternoon.
The Ravens lost to the Clarke University Pride, 74-57.
After starting the second half squared up at 34-34, the Ravens fell behind by 16 points as the Pride started the second half on a 22-6 run. The Ravens tried to answer and rattled off 10-straight of their own at one point in the second half to cut Clarke's lead to 56-50, but that was as close as the Ravens would get the remainder of the contest.
Brycen LaRue led the Ravens with 14 points and Harrison Kisling added 11 points. The Ravens outrebounded the Pride, 38-36, but the Pride shot 50.9% from the field compared to 30.6% for the Ravens.
The teams entered halftime tied, 34-34, despite the Ravens leading for the majority of the opening half. The Ravens led by as many as 11 points thanks to hot shooting from Jack Vander Woude to open the game. Vander Woude knocked down four 3-pointers in the opening minutes and had 12 points in the game.
Clarke battled back, though, taking a 34-30 lead late in the first half before the Ravens scored 4-straight to send the teams to the locker room locked up at 34 points. The Pride's strong start to the second half proved to be too much for the Ravens to overcome.
Next up for the Ravens (2-4, 1-2 Heart) will be a 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26 contest against Graceland University.
