Track & Field heads to NAIA Indoor National Championships in 10 combined events
BROOKINGS, S.D. – Benedictine Track & Field is set to represent Raven Athletics in 10 combined events at the 43rd annual Women's and 58th annual Men's NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The event returns to the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex on the campus of Dakota State University starting on March 2 and running through March 4.
The Raven Women qualified to compete in 6 events while the Raven Men qualified to compete in 4 events.
For the Raven Women, Madison Sutton will compete in both the shot put and weight throw. Sutton heads into the championships as the No. 2 ranked competitor in the weight throw. Alison Ambuul will compete in the 600 meter where she ranks fourth, Caroline Cobo will compete in the 800 meter where she ranks sixth and Natasha Ortiz will compete in the 5000 meters. The Raven Women will also compete in the 4x800 meter relay where they are the No. 5-ranked team headed into the championships.
For the Raven Men, Daniel Rogge will compete in the 600 meters while David Mannella and Thomas Campbell will each compete in the 1000 meters. The Raven Men will also compete in two relays - the 4x800 meter relay and the Distance Medley Relay.
