Men's Cross Country earns 16th-place result at Gans Creek Classic

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Benedictine Men's Country had a strong finish on Friday, competing in the 2024 Gans Creek Classic, hosted by the University of Missouri.

The Ravens earned a 16th-place finish on a course that will host the 2024 NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championships. In addition to competing on the championship course, the Ravens competed against 14 fellow NAIA programs. 

Thomas Campbell paced the Ravens with a time of 24:43 on the 8k course as he finished in 95th. Joseph Accurso (107th), Sabastian Michael (158th), Micah Munoz (180th), Johnny Joyce (188th) and Nichola Kling (197th) contributed to the Ravens final score for the event. 

Benedictine has a change in their schedule for their next competition. After taking off the upcoming weekend, the team will return to action in Sioux Center, Iowa, competing in the Dordt University Holiday Inn Express Classic on Oct. 12.
