Bailey Selvage named Heart Softball Pitcher of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Benedictine Softball's Bailey Selvage has earned weekly recognition from the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

Selvage has been named the Heart Pitcher of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting, on Monday for her efforts last week for Benedictine as the Ravens went 3-1 in their first road weekend of the Heart schedule.

Against Culver-Stockton, Selvage wrapped up the sweep over the Wildcats with a no-hitter in the Ravens 9-0 win. She followed that up with a two-hit shutout over William Penn University on Sunday to give the Ravens a split with the Statesmen. 

Selvage has a 1.69 ERA in 20 appearances and 15 starts during the year. She has thrown 12 complete games with 4 shutouts and 1 save. She also has 123 strikeouts to just 20 walks.

Benedictine remains on the road Wednesday, traveling to Peru State College for a Heart doubleheader with the Bobcats.
