
Bailey Selvage and Chloe Strickland named to All-Tournament Team for Softball
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – With the conclusion of the 2025 Heart Softball Championship Tournament on Sunday, the Heart released the 2025 All-Tournament Team and two members of the Benedictine Softball team were on the list of 14 players recognized for their efforts during the tournament.
Bailey Selvage was selected as one of two pitchers. Selvage posted a 3-1 record while finishing the tournament with a 2.53 ERA. She scattered 10 runs off 28 hits over 27.2 innings with 26 strikeouts.
Chloe Strickland was selected as one of six infielders. Strickland scored 4 runs with a triple, 2 RBI, and 3 walks at the plate. Defensively, she finished with 5 putouts and 7 assists in 12 chances defensively at shortstop for the Ravens.
Benedictine battled back through the consolation bracket, falling a game shy of playing for the Heart Tournament Championship. They currently sit at 33-22 overall after finishing in fifth place in the Heart during the regular season and third place in the Heart Tournament. The NAIA will announce the field for the 44th annual NAIA Softball National Championship Tournament at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
