
Women's Lacrosse earns another win at home
Women's Lacrosse picked up another convincing win Monday afternoon.
The (2) Ravens defeated the Culver-Stockton College Wildcats, 27-1, in Atchison.
The Ravens wasted little time taking control of the proceedings, racing out to a 12-0 lead after one quarter of play and a 19-0 lead by halftime.
The Ravens took a 24-0 lead into the fourth quarter but the Wildcats scored the opening goal of the final period. The Ravens closed out the game with 3 more goals.
In the win, multiple Ravens set records or reached career milestones. Chanterra Allen's 8 goals set a new single-season record with 92 goals – besting her previous record of 91 goals. Kaylen Moore caused 3 turnovers, which set the single-season record for caused turnovers. Moore also reached 400 career draw controls.
Kiera Russell's three goals made a milestone as well, as she reached 100 career goals.
With the win, the Ravens improve to 15-0 on the season and 6-0 in Heart of America play. The win also clinches at least a share of the Heart regular season championship with the final regular season game to come Saturday, April 5 at St. Ambrose University. The Ravens have won the first two Heart championships as the conference is in its third season of Women's Lacrosse.
