
Top-seeded Women's Lacrosse blows past No. 4 seeded St. Ambrose into third straight Heart title game
Women's Lacrosse earned a convincing win in the semifinal of the Heart of America Conference Tournament on Wednesday evening in Atchison.
The (2) Ravens won the Heart regular season championship with an unblemished record and will play for a tournament championship after defeating the No. 4 seed St. Ambrose Fighting Bees, 30-1.
The Ravens wasted little time in taking control of the game, racing out to a 10-1 lead after one quarter of play. By halftime, the Ravens lead had grown to 17-1. The Ravens closed out the game by outscoring the Bees 13-0 in the second half.
Chanterra Allen led the way with 9 goals and 2 assists for the Ravens. Mackenna Hill added 7 goals, and Lile Chekas scored 5 goals. Kaylen Moore scored 3 goals and dished out 3 assists.
Two Ravens set new program records during the contest. Allen became the new all-time goals leader for the Ravens, and Moore set the new single-season assists record.
The Ravens (17-0) will play the (7) Missouri Baptist University Spartans in the championship game on Saturday, April 19, at 1 p.m., back on Legacy Field on the Benedictine campus. The Ravens defeated the Spartans, 18-9, when they played on March 29.
