Women's Cross Country take top honors at Grandview Viking Invitational

DES MOINES, Iowa – Benedictine Women's Cross Country returned to action on Saturday with a win at the Grandview Viking Invitational with a score of 16.

Benedictine finished with six runners in the top 10 with all six of those runners, the top individual finishers among the runners from NAIA schools. Alexa Lamb was the top Raven in second place with a time of 23:42.6. She was followed by Catherine Aaron (third), Emilee Nelson (fourth), Julia McLaughlin (fifth), Gemma Downey (seventh) and Helen Ullrich (ninth). 

The Ravens will travel to Columbia, Mo., on Friday to compete in the Gans Creek Classic, hosted by the University of Missouri. The course is the host site for the annual NAIA Cross Country National Championships contested in November.
