Men's Soccer quartet named to 2023 Heart All-Conference Men's Soccer Team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four members of the Benedictine Men's Soccer team have earned All-Heart honors as the conference released the 2023 All-Heart Men's Soccer Team on Thursday.
Diego Acuna was named to the first team, Jesus Rodriguez and Adem Aroua were named to the second team, and Noah Reuscher was named to the third team.
The Ravens finished the regular season with an overall record of 9-4-4 while posting a 5-3-3 record in the Heart. They earned the No. 5 seed in the 2023 Heart Men's Soccer Tournament and will travel to Parkville, Mo., on Friday to take on Park University in the Quarterfinals.
Acuna finished the regular season with 12 points (3 goals, 6 assists) with 42 shots and 12 shots on goal.
Aroua finished the regular season with 21 points (9 goals and 3 assists) with 47 shots and 22 shots on goal. Rodriguez played a key role in the Ravens back-line defense that held opponents to a 1.00 goals against average.
Reuscher was a two-time Defensive Player of the Week this season, he finished the regular season with 66 saves while limiting opponents to a 0.97 goals against average with five shutouts.
