(24) Men's Soccer beats Culver-Stockton 4-2 to open up Heart play

CANTON, Mo. – Benedictine Men's Soccer opened up Heart play on the road on Saturday as the No. 24-ranked Ravens earned a 4-2 win over Culver-Stockton College.

After Culver-Stockton got the scoring started, Benedictine rattled off four unanswered to take control of the match.

Norberto Montero hit the equalizer off an assist from Felipe Vargas during the 26th minute. 

After the game went into halftime tied, the Ravens scored three quick goals during the 57th and 58th minutes of play. Luca Nicotra gave the Ravens the lead early in the 57th minute off an assist from Eliah Froeyland. Nicholas Rowe added the Ravens third goal midway through the 58th minute off an assist from Jesus Rodriguez before Froeyland capped off the Ravens scoring 10 seconds off the Rodriguez goal.

Noah Reuscher earned the win, playing into the 73rd minute recording 4 saves while giving up two goals. Carlos Flores played the remainder of the match in goal.

Benedictine finished with a 16-7 advantage in shots with 6 shots on goal.

The Ravens return home at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday as they host their Heart home opener against Park University.
