DUBUQUE, Iowa – (RV) Benedictine Women's Soccer earned a second Heart win of the season on Friday, beating Clarke University 1-0.
After playing to a scoreless draw at the half, the Ravens scored during the 50th minute on an unassisted goal from Rebecca Slaten.
That proved to be all the Ravens needed as defensively, the Ravens stepped up in front of goalie Mackenzie Korzenecki. Korzenecki recorded 7 saves over 90 minutes in goal for the Ravens with 3 saves in the second half.
Benedictine held a 22-17 advantage in shots with a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal in the second half to earn the win.
Faith Lewis led the Ravens attack with 4 shots, three on goal.
The Ravens remain on the road Wednesday, traveling to Baldwin City, Mo., for a renewal of the rivalry with Baker University at 5 p.m.
