Mackenzie Korzenecki named NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Mackenzie Korzenecki has become the first fall student-athlete to earn NAIA weekly honors.

A day after earning her third Heart Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, Korzenecki has been named the NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Korzenecki amassed nine saves in a pair of wins last week for the Ravens. She opened the week with five saves in a 3-2 upset of No. 6-ranked Central Methodist (Mo.). Korzenecki finished the week with four saves in a 1-0 win over William Penn (Iowa).

During the season, Korzenecki boasts a 0.83 goals-against average and leads the Heart of America Conference with nine shutouts. The nine shutouts rank third in the NAIA.
